Expanding Global Horizons through Cultural and Natural Exploration
To broaden students’ global perspectives, enhance language proficiency, and promote cross-cultural learning, our school has organised a 12-day overseas learning tour to Canada from 22 April to 3 May 2025.
This journey offers a rich and diverse programme covering Indigenous cultural exploration, nature-based ecological learning, creative science and technology experiences, and cultural-linguistic exchange. Through site visits, interactive learning, and peer-to-peer engagement with local students, participants will gain first-hand insight into the unique charm of the Land of Maple Leaves.
This meaningful adventure represents more than just a trip—it is an opportunity for our students to truly step beyond the classroom and into the world, embracing knowledge, culture, and personal growth along the way.

開展國際視野,走進自然與文化的探索之路
為拓展學生國際視野,提升語言應用能力與跨文化學習經驗,本校於2025年4月派出8名學生代表,前往加拿大展開為期12天的海外交流學習之旅。
是次行程涵蓋多元主題,包括原住民文化探索、自然生態體驗、科技及創意學習等。透過實地參觀、語言互動、與當地學生交流,以及親身感受加拿大的人文與自然環境,學生將實踐「走出課室,走進世界」的學習理念。
一場集知識、文化與成長於一身的冒險,即將展開。
First Steps in the Land of Maple – Discovering the Beauty of Culture and Nature
Our students officially embarked on a 12-day educational exchange tour to Canada. Filled with excitement and curiosity, the group departed from Hong Kong and travelled across the Pacific to the beautiful Land of Maple Leaves.
Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport, the students were immediately captivated by the stunning cultural displays that highlight the heritage and natural beauty of British Columbia. One intricately crafted ceremonial platter, carved with the powerful images of an eagle and a salmon, sparked great interest as students learnt how these symbols reflect the strength and traditions of Canada’s Indigenous communities, as well as their harmonious relationship with nature.
After leaving the airport, the group headed to Accent Inns in Vancouver for a brief rest—and to their delight, they were greeted by blooming cherry blossoms nearby. Many couldn’t help but exclaim, “The cherry blossoms here are just as beautiful as those in Japan!”
Though slightly tired after a long journey, every student is filled with anticipation for the exciting and enriching experiences that lie ahead. This marks the official beginning of their international learning adventure.
初踏楓葉國 · 感受文化與自然的交織之美
本校參與加拿大學習交流團的8位學生正式展開為期十二天的學習旅程,帶着期待與興奮從香港出發,飛往太平洋彼岸的楓葉國 —— 加拿大。
一行人順利抵達溫哥華國際機場後,第一時間便被機場內展示的卑詩省文化藝術作品深深吸引。當中一件精緻的錠盤上雕刻著代表力量與傳承的鷹與鮭魚圖騰,讓學生初步認識到原住民文化的象徵意義與手工藝術的獨特魅力,展現出海岸民族與大自然共生的生活智慧。
離開機場後,學生們前往溫哥華 Accent Inns 附近短暫休息,同時幸運地遇上盛開的櫻花林,同學們一邊拍照,一邊讚嘆「加拿大櫻花同日本一樣咁靚!」
經過長途旅程,雖然略感疲憊,但每位學生都滿載期待迎接接下來精彩豐富的交流活動,學習旅程正式展開!
Exploring Vancouver Island · A Meaningful Day of School and Homestay Experiences
Our students boarded a ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo, before taking a coach to Qualicum Beach Elementary School to begin their immersive learning and cultural exchange experience.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by Principal Miss Corleen, who personally introduced the students to the school campus. Through guided tours of classrooms and special learning spaces, our students gained valuable insights into the school’s open and nature-integrated learning environment.
In the afternoon, each student was greeted by their host family and brought home to begin their homestay experience. Students took part in a variety of fun and enriching activities, such as playing badminton and table tennis, as well as exploring the local community, allowing them to experience Canadian daily life first-hand.
The day not only deepened students’ appreciation for cultural diversity, but also fostered genuine friendships and a sense of belonging beyond borders. A truly heartwarming start to their homestay journey!
初探溫哥華島 · 踏入當地校園與家庭的真情交流
一早,本校學生乘搭郵輪由溫哥華前往溫哥華島上的納奈莫,繼而轉乘旅遊巴士前往 Qualicum Beach Elementary School,展開一段難忘的校園交流體驗。
是日活動由校長 Miss Corleen 親自迎接,並安排學生參觀校園設施及課室,深入了解當地的學與教環境。學生們對學校的自然環境及開放式學習空間印象深刻,並積極與當地師生互動。
下午,寄宿家庭親自到校迎接學生,將他們帶回家中體驗地道生活。同學們隨即參與多項活動,包括打羽毛球、乒乓球,以及在社區中探索加拿大小鎮文化,深深感受到當地人的熱情與友好。
在一天的交流中,同學們不僅學會尊重與欣賞不同文化,更感受到「家」的溫暖與真摯的友誼。
Experiencing Local Lessons · A Close Encounter with Wildlife
Today marked the first full day of class for the joint-school delegation at Qualicum Beach Elementary School. In the morning, our students joined the school assembly and presented a commemorative gift to Principal Miss Corleen on behalf of the Eduvision delegation. The warm welcome from the staff and students made everyone feel right at home.
Our students had the opportunity to attend different subject classes such as Physical Education and Music, where they actively participated and began forming friendships with their Canadian peers—an invaluable cross-cultural experience.
In the afternoon, we visited the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre in Errington, one of the most popular wildlife education sites in the Parksville Qualicum Beach region. Students observed native species including ravens, black bears, and turtles, and learnt about how environmental issues affect wildlife. The visit deepened their understanding of conservation and the interconnection between humans and nature.
體驗本地課堂 · 走進野生動物世界
聯校交流團的學生們今天正式踏入 Qualicum Beach Elementary School 上課日程,早上參加校內早會,並代表 Eduvision 聯校向校長 Miss Corleen 致送紀念品,場面溫馨。校內師生以熱烈掌聲及笑容歡迎我們,讓學生們深受感動。
學生隨即參與不同的本地課堂,如體育課、音樂課,並與當地學生建立友誼,親身體驗溫哥華島小學生的學習日常,並從中學習語言與文化。
下午,我們來到位於埃林頓的North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre(北島野生動物復育中心),這是當地著名的教育性景點。學生近距離觀察原生野生動物如渡鴉、黑熊及海龜,並從中認識人類活動如何影響動物棲息地與環境,啟發學生反思保育與生態之間的關係。
A Day of Literature, Art and Local Culture · Learning through Creativity
Students from the joint-school delegation continued their studies at Qualicum Beach Elementary School, with the day’s lessons focused on English literature, visual arts, and writing.
In literature class, students explored themes and stylistic elements from Shakespeare's works, sparking critical thinking and deeper reflection. In visual arts, they experimented with colours and forms through hands-on creation, building artistic appreciation and expressive skills.
In the afternoon, students visited the Oceanside Place community area to explore local culture and interact with residents, gaining insights into the history and development of a Canadian seaside town.
To end the day, students joined a beachside art session at Qualicum Beach, drawing inspiration from the sea and surrounding nature. Against a backdrop of ocean breeze and coastal views, they created imaginative artworks using natural materials—an unforgettable fusion of learning, creativity and joy.
藝術、文學與社區的美好交織 · 創意從學習出發
聯校交流團的學生繼續於 Qualicum Beach Elementary School 上課,是日課程涵蓋英國文學、視覺藝術及寫作等多個範疇,內容豐富多元。
在英國文學課堂上,學生初步接觸 莎士比亞 的經典作品,從主題、人物到語言風格,皆引發學生對文學的批判性思維與分析能力。視藝課堂則讓學生親身體驗創作過程,探索色彩與構圖,培養審美及表達能力。
下午,學生前往 Oceanside Place 附近社區 進行文化探索,與當地居民互動,了解社區歷史與文化發展,深入體會加拿大小鎮的日常面貌。
最後,同學來到 奎利肯沙灘(Qualicum Beach),參加以海洋為主題的戶外藝術創作活動。在微風海景的陪伴下,學生以沙灘上的自然素材創作出獨特的藝術作品,發揮想像力與創造力,讓學習成為一趟身心滋養的旅程。
A Heartwarming Day with Host Families · Immersing in Local Life
On 26 April 2025, students spent a memorable and joyful day with their host families, experiencing authentic Canadian life through a variety of activities.
Some students visited Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park, hiking along a six-kilometre trail through lush forests, marvelling at the breathtaking Lower and Upper Falls, and capturing beautiful memories at scenic viewpoints.
Others cheered on their host dads at swimming competitions, feeling the energy of sportsmanship and teamwork, followed by relaxed, laughter-filled moments at friends’ homes on hammocks.
Another group explored the local flea market, played on swings, trampolines, and playgrounds in nearby parks, borrowed books from the library, and enjoyed reading and pizza-making sessions with their host families.
Many students also shopped for Canadian souvenirs, preparing heartfelt gifts to share with their families back home.
Through this vibrant and immersive day, students not only strengthened friendships but also deepened their understanding of Canadian culture, community spirit, and family life.
與寄宿家庭共度精彩一天 · 走進真實的加國生活
2025年4月26日,聯校交流團的同學們與寄宿家庭共度溫馨又豐富的一天,展開了不同形式的本地生活體驗。
部分同學前往Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park,沿著6公里長的小徑穿越森林,觀賞上下兩處壯麗的瀑布,並在觀景點留下美麗回憶,感受大自然的清新與壯麗。
亦有同學觀看host dad的游泳比賽,親身體驗運動的激情與團隊精神,之後與朋友們一起到家中玩吊床,享受歡笑滿載的悠閒時光。
另一些同學則在當地跳蚤市場尋寶,隨後前往公園盡情玩鞦韆、彈床與遊樂設施,更在圖書館借閱書籍,回到寄宿家庭後一同閱讀與製作披薩,增添家庭樂趣。
同學們更購買了大量加拿大特色手信,準備將這份美好回憶帶回家與家人分享。
這一天,同學們不僅深化了與寄宿家庭和朋友之間的感情,也更深入了解加拿大人的生活節奏與文化特色,讓交流體驗更添意義與溫度。
Dancing with Butterflies · Witnessing Nature’s Power
Our students embarked on a vibrant journey into the wonders of nature.
In the morning, they visited Butterfly World, where the greenhouse mimics the tropical ecosystems of South America and Asia. Strolling along the winding paths, students observed butterflies emerging from their chrysalises in the Emerging Area, marvelling at the miracle of life. Outdoors, they explored a native butterfly garden filled with local plants, birds, and beneficial insects, deepening their understanding of ecological coexistence and the butterfly life cycle.
In the afternoon, the group visited the majestic Vancouver Falls, where the spring water flow was at its peak. Standing before the roaring cascade, students felt the misty spray on their faces and were awed by nature’s sheer power. Excited conversations and sharing of observations filled the air.
This day not only broadened students’ horizons, but also deepened their love for nature and awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.
與蝴蝶共舞 · 感受大自然的震撼力量
聯校交流團的學生走進了繽紛多彩的自然世界,展開一場充滿生命力的探索之旅。
早上,同學們前往 Butterfly World,走進模擬南美及亞洲熱帶生態的溫室。沿著小徑漫步,學生們觀察到蝴蝶在蛹區破蛹而出的過程,感受生命的奇蹟。另一邊,戶外蝴蝶花園以本地植物、鳥類及昆蟲打造出共生的自然棲地,同學們紛紛拍照留念,對蝴蝶生命週期有了更深認識。
下午,大家來到壯麗的 溫哥華瀑布,正值春季水量最豐沛時節,澎湃的水流聲震撼心靈。站在瀑布前,同學們感受水霧拂面,耳邊轟鳴,內心充滿敬畏與驚嘆,並熱烈分享各自的觀察與感受。
這一天,同學們不僅近距離親近自然,學會欣賞生命之美,更加深了愛護環境與生態保育的重要意識。
Cultural Treasures and Natural Wonders in Victoria
Our students travelled to the picturesque city of Victoria, embarking on a vibrant journey of culture and adventure.
The day began with a visit to the Royal British Columbia Museum, where the special exhibition Global Threads – Art and Fashion of Indian Chintz from the Royal Ontario Museum was on display. Students explored a vivid world of painted and printed cotton textiles, learning how Indian chintz influenced global art, science, and fashion across ten centuries.
Next, they visited the magnificent Parliament of Canada, where they took a group photo to capture the unforgettable moment.
The journey continued through the historic Fan Tan Alley, allowing students to immerse themselves in Victoria’s unique cultural charm.
Finally, the students ventured to the awe-inspiring Malahat SkyWalk. Surrounded by breathtaking forests and ocean views, they enjoyed walking along the elevated trail and challenged themselves on the thrilling spiral slide, filling the air with laughter and excitement.
Today’s experiences deepened students’ appreciation for cultural diversity and natural wonders, making it another truly memorable chapter of their learning adventure.
維多利亞文化探索 · 在歷史與自然間展翅高飛
聯校交流團的學生來到美麗的城市維多利亞(Victoria),展開一連串豐富的文化與自然探索活動。
首先,同學們參觀了Royal British Columbia Museum,適逢Royal Ontario Museum舉行特展《Global Threads – Art and Fashion of Indian Chintz》。在展覽中,同學踏進色彩斑斕的棉布世界,了解印度棉布如何影響全球藝術、科學與時尚,並親眼見證跨越十個世紀的精彩作品。
之後,學生來到Parliament of Canada,並於壯麗的議會大樓前大合照,記錄這重要時刻。
隨後,他們探索了歷史悠久的Fan Tan Alley,穿梭於小巷之中,體驗維多利亞市獨特的歷史文化氛圍。
最後,同學們來到令人屏息的Malahat SkyWalk。在壯闊的森林與海景環抱下,同學們沿天空步道漫步,更多次挑戰刺激的螺旋滑梯,尖叫與笑聲此起彼落,盡情投入大自然的懷抱。
這一天,同學們不但拓闊了國際視野,更用心體會到文化與自然之美,為旅程添上精彩一章。
Golf, Friendship and Farewell – A Perfect Ending
The joint-school delegation enjoyed a memorable final day of their school exchange journey.
The day began at Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf, where students took on two exciting mini-golf courses filled with unique terrains and creative challenges. As they swung their clubs and competed playfully, laughter echoed across the course. The game was not only a test of skill, but also a celebration of friendship and fun.
At noon, teachers and students of Qualicum Beach Elementary School hosted a warm and cheerful farewell hot dog lunch. Sitting on the grass, everyone enjoyed delicious food and drinks while sharing stories, memories, and heartfelt reflections from the past week.
After lunch, our students presented gifts from Hong Kong to their new friends – small tokens symbolising friendship, gratitude and cultural connection. Smiles, hugs, and promises to stay in touch filled the moment with joy and emotion.
This final day brought together fun, gratitude and meaningful farewells – a perfect wrap-up to an unforgettable exchange experience filled with learning, laughter and lasting bonds.
揮桿挑戰與溫情告別 · 留下最美回憶
聯校交流團的學生踏入交流之旅的尾聲,但這一天依然精彩萬分。
早上,同學們來到 Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf,挑戰兩個別具特色的迷你高爾夫球場。每個球洞設計創新、難度各異,讓學生在競賽中不斷歡笑,享受刺激與樂趣。揮桿之間,大家互相比拼,亦合作鼓勵,展現出運動與團隊的精神。
中午,Qualicum Beach Elementary School 全體師生為交流團同學舉辦了一場溫馨的 熱狗告別午餐。師生們在草地上圍坐,邊享用美味熱狗與飲品,邊分享這幾天的學習點滴與難忘時光,場面溫暖又動人。
午餐後,本校學生將親手準備的 香港紀念品 贈送給交流期間結識的新朋友,象徵著跨越文化的友誼與美好回憶。彼此相視一笑,互道珍重,也約定將來有緣再相見。
這一天,既有比賽的歡樂,也有告別的感動。大家懷著滿滿的友誼與感激,為這段加拿大學習旅程劃上溫暖而完美的句號。
Farewell to Host Families · A Journey Through Vancouver’s Culture & History
Students bid a fond farewell to their host families and began a memorable day of sightseeing around Vancouver, rich in culture and natural beauty.
The journey started at the iconic Stanley Park, Vancouver’s largest and most beloved city park, featuring over 400 hectares of coastal rainforest. Students strolled along the seawall, capturing photos of the stunning landscape and immersing themselves in the peace of nature.
Next stop was Gastown, a charming historic district known for its cobblestone streets and red-brick buildings. Students learned about the area’s founder, “Gassy Jack,” and snapped photos at the famous steam clock, gaining a deeper appreciation for the city’s roots.
In the afternoon, the group visited Canada Place, originally built for Expo 86. There, they explored the structure’s striking architecture, the Olympic Cauldron from the 2010 Winter Games, and the eye-catching Digital Orca sculpture—a pixelated killer whale that celebrates Canada’s innovation and creativity.
This full day of cultural exploration helped students connect with Vancouver’s heritage, while experiencing its unique blend of history, art, and nature.
告別寄宿家庭 · 漫遊溫哥華歷史與文化景點
聯校交流團的學生們與寄宿家庭依依惜別,帶著滿滿的回憶啟程前往溫哥華市內,展開一天的歷史與文化探索之旅。
首先來到著名的 Stanley Park,這是溫哥華第一座也是最大的城市公園,擁有超過400公頃的原始西海岸雨林。沿著海堤而行,學生們一邊欣賞壯麗的海岸景致與古老森林,一邊拍下無數美照,記錄這趟難忘旅程的每個瞬間。
之後,同學們來到歷史悠久的 Gastown。在青石街道與紅磚建築之間漫步,他們認識了「Gassy Jack」創立Gastown的故事,並拍照打卡著名的 蒸汽鐘。Gastown於2009年被列為加拿大國家歷史遺址,學生從中感受到溫哥華濃厚的歷史風情。
下午,學生前往 Canada Place,這座為1986年世界博覽會而建的地標建築展現了加拿大的創新與多樣性。他們還參觀了 2010年溫哥華冬奧會聖火 和像素風格雕塑 Digital Orca(數碼殺人鯨),感受到歷史與現代設計的融合魅力。
這天的行程,讓學生在自然、歷史與藝術之間穿梭,不僅加深對城市的了解,也拓寬了文化視野,為旅程再添美好一章。
Science, Creativity, and Underwater Wonders
Our students enjoyed a full day of hands-on science, artistic exploration, and marine discovery.
The day began at Science World, one of Vancouver’s most iconic educational attractions. Students watched fun live experiments at the Centre Stage, challenged each other at the Puzzles and Illusions Gallery, and explored local ecology in the Ken Spencer Science Park.
At the BodyWorks gallery, they dived into human anatomy, while the Science Theatre presented films on Earth and civilisation. In the Tinkering Space, students built, tested, and learned through hands-on activities, fully immersed in the joy of scientific exploration.
After lunch, the group headed to Granville Island, a vibrant cultural district filled with artisan markets and beautiful waterfront scenery. Students sampled snacks, explored colourful stalls, and soaked up the creative atmosphere.
The day concluded at Vancouver Aquarium, home to over 65,000 marine creatures. From Canadian tide pools and tropical coral reefs to exotic species of the Amazon rainforest, students were amazed at every turn. The visit sparked greater appreciation for marine life and environmental conservation.
This rich, engaging day allowed students to learn by doing, see the world from new perspectives, and connect deeply with science and nature.
動手實驗、文化探索與深海奇遇的一天
聯校交流團的學生迎來知識與樂趣滿載的一天,從科學實驗到文化藝術,再到海洋世界,一站接一站驚喜連連!
早上,他們前往極具代表性的 Science World(科學世界)。館內分為多層展區,學生們首先在 科學舞台 觀看趣味十足的實驗表演,並在 智力遊戲區 鬥智鬥力。接著走進 Ken Spencer Science Park,了解本地自然生態及小型農場環境。
來到二樓的 BodyWorks 展館,同學們對人體構造充滿驚奇,在 Tinkering Space 嘗試各式動手實驗,亦在 Science Theatre 欣賞關於地球與文明發展的影片,提升了科學素養與觀察能力。
午間,他們前往 Granville Island,漫步於充滿藝術氣息的街道與市集中,欣賞各式手工藝品與地道美食,感受當地文化氛圍。
最後一站是位於 Stanley Park 的 Vancouver Aquarium(溫哥華水族館)。學生們觀賞到來自世界各地、超過 65,000 種的海洋生物——從本地潮汐生態到熱帶珊瑚、亞馬遜雨林物種,每一個展館都讓人嘆為觀止。這一站不僅令學生對海洋生態有更深認識,也激發他們對環保議題的思考。
這一天,知識、好奇心與創造力在每一個角落閃閃發光!
A Memorable Conclusion to a Fulfilling Educational Journey ✈️🍁
Before returning to Hong Kong, students from our school and the joint-school exchange group gathered at Vancouver International Airport for a warm and cheerful group photo, marking a perfect conclusion to this enriching cross-cultural experience in Canada.
Over the past 12 days, our students immersed themselves in Indigenous culture, explored Canada’s natural ecology, participated in STEAM activities, and exchanged ideas with local students — truly embodying the spirit of “thinking beyond traditional boundaries and embracing multiculturalism.” They enhanced their language abilities, expanded their global perspectives, and cultivated empathy and respect for the world around them.
This journey was not just an overseas trip, but a transformative milestone that inspired growth, reflection, and discovery. May the precious memories from this adventure become a source of motivation, encouraging our students to continue exploring broader horizons and becoming brave and open-minded global citizens.
Though this cross-cultural journey has come to an end, the passion for learning and curiosity it sparked will continue to shine brightly on their lifelong path ahead. 🌟✈️

在啟程返回香港之前,本校學生與聯校交流團的同學們齊聚溫哥華國際機場,拍攝了一張溫馨的團體合照,為這段精彩而充實的加拿大跨文化學習之旅劃上圓滿句號。
在過去12日的交流旅程中,同學們走進原住民文化、探索自然生態、參與STEAM科技活動、與當地學生互動交流,積極實踐「跳出傳統框架,迎接多元文化」的精神。同學們在真實環境中提升了語言能力、拓展了國際視野,並建立了對世界的同理與尊重。
這次旅程不只是一段外遊體驗,更是一場讓學生成長、啟發、蛻變的重要里程碑。願他們將這段難忘回憶化作動力,繼續追尋更廣闊的天地,成為勇於探索的世界小公民。
